For this project, I wanted to present a grilled cheese festival that would exhibit my modular typeface that was modeled after blocks of cheese carved into the letters of the alphabet. I decided to do a grilled cheese festival held in Atlanta due to the large attendance numbers from previous years. The selected typeface used for the celebrity guest chefs, the title of the event, the location and the times of the events was Bebas Neue Rounded. The selected typeface provided enough weight on the physical poster, but not too heavy that the words and letters would end up as unrecognizable text. The typeface used to describe the event was Paralucent Text, bold style. The selected typeface was perfect because unlike Bebas Neue Rounded, Paralucent is much less geometric. It provides more tracking between the words to create even space to make the event descriptions easier on the eyes, both physically and on a screen. For the title and the date of the event, I used the Astounder Squared BB, Bold Italic. The typeface reminded me of the typeface used in comics. I applied a black backdrop to apply more depth and to attract the eyes towards the poster.
